This step by step process consists of hand dipping roasted nuts in hot toffee, before coating them in icing sugar to cool off. The result is a crunchy, buttery sweet treat, which can be processed further with chocolate or used as a delicious ingredient.
The art of chocolate panning involves the creation of a layer of chocolate surrounding the centre, which is then dusted or polished to a high gloss finish. This is created, by slowly pouring chocolate over the centres in a tumbling coating pan.
We also offer enrobing, through a chocolate waterfall of milk or dark chocolate. A second layer of premium chocolate is applied evenly after the panning process and a decorative swirl brings the finishing touches to our nut confectionery, before it is packed into trays or flow wraps.

Coated & roasted nuts are ideal for applications in ice cream, confectionery, baking, cereal and chocolate manufacturing. We offer two roasting processes in our facilities – dry roasting and caramelised roasting.

Our caramelised roasting process is capable of flavour roasting sliced, diced and nut pieces. This unique roasting process roasts the nuts until the onset of flavour development. The coating on the nuts provides a crunchy, roasted texture. The coating ensures a free-flowing product that can be mechanically dosed and is durable throughout shelf life as a component in your final product.
